Well I'm not directly the runner type guy, but that website had some helpful articles about nutrition, how to get more endurance and most importantly to be more healthy.

I did not want to link only this article, since there are other interesting ones on the website, but this was what got me into it. It is not just for athletes, if you become fat adapted, you can go for much longer without having to worry about food and at the same time even be more healthy, kind of a win win situation, who does not want that?
