It looks like a blog about BSD operating systems, but as the creator himself writes, it is now also about other free operating systems like Linux, FreeBSD etc.
I kept it in my bookmarks because of some articles on it I liked, especially this one: http://churchofbsd.blogspot.com/2010/12/bsd-philosophy.html it explains the BSD philosophy which is very close to my personal philosophy about open source etc, especially this quote probably sums it up best:
"In General people in the BSD world view people and Individuals who do not share code and improvements as pompous idiots. There are a ton of smart people in the BSD world and no one individual or company (M$) not sharing code is really going to make any difference, the reality is we probably wouldn't want there code anyhow. "
Many companies think they matter that much, because they make so much money and on the other hand many people in the GPL communist world think they matter as well, because they are so "liberal" (restrictive) with their licensing, but similar to the BSD philosopy I think they do not matter anyhow in computing history. History is made by great minds and great minds are good and share freely, only small minds share not or share very restrictively like the GPL people.
"Do what is right and be hated by those around you. Do what is popular and be hated by history." - This quote also explains it greatly, I also prefer to do what is right instead of doing things that are wrong just to be popular.
