Allows you to create normalmaps with Gimp. It is very primitive but it has a few algorithms you can chose from and you also can enhance the quality in combination with other filters.

I updated the dead link with a version from the internet archive.
No idea what happened to the gimp website and where the plugins can be found now.
In case a link goes dead again or the content reappears somewhere else please contact me, so I can update the link page again.
